Original Home PageWelcome to Automotive Information your comprehensive auto resource. Our mission is to give you the facts you need about auto fast so you can get on the road to finding the automotive information you need, right away. The management of the Automotive Information has been developing content for the Internet since 1999. Over the years, there content has been placed on thousands of websites, and they have literally placed thousands of pages concerning cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, and other automotive topics. Our team has written historical overviews of nearly every automobile in the marketplace. They have written about how to work on cars, and how to troubleshoot common auto problems. Our people have written about nearly every component within the automotive design. Along the way, we have even learned things that we did not realize we knew and things that we probably would never have encountered in real life. Just this year, in 2007, General Motors lost their long-held status as being the largest automaker in the world. As was predicted as early as 2006, Toyota outpaced the GM Corporation, by selling more cars in a calendar year than any other automotive manufacturer. There track record has been so good that even we are considering Toyota for our next replacement car. Over the last few years, we have been die-hard fans of the Saturn line of vehicles, but when GM pulled Saturn back under the General Motors umbrella, the attraction for us was gone. Had GM left Saturn as its own distinct brand under the GMC structure, we might have bought a Saturn next time out, but the GM management team let us down. Through the 1980's, I had held onto the past - only buying late 70's Oldsmobiles. But the day finally came when those 1977 Olds Cutlass Supremes were just too old to consider as a serious purchase option. I drove four of them in ten years, buying my first in 1985 one that had belonged to my parents since 1979. I drove that car for another six years, and the last two were driven over the following four years. I owned a fourth just for parts, but I did not have to use too many of those extra parts. I was determined that finally I would buy a new Oldsmobile in the mid-90's, but then I had driven my mom's 1988 Oldsmobile Cutlass there is no nice way to say it it was a piece of junk. I admit it, I did buy a 1996 Olds later, and goodness, it was junk too. Between my Olds obsession and my Saturn obsession, I drove a few Fords and a couple Pontiacs. All were less than stellar automobiles. I am still driving a Saturn, and my wife is driving Hyundai. We will replace her car this fall with very likely a Toyota, but I am holding out for a Hybrid vehicle that is worth its salt.
